InventHelp’s Invention Girl has returned home from a busy trip to Las Vegas. I had a great time attending the second InventHelp-INPEX New Product Showcase that was part of the larger Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) D2C Convention. Both events took place at the beautiful Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, NV from September 21-23.

During the New Product Showcase, inventors had the chance to present their products directly to marketers for a two-minute “pitch session,” with the top five products being featured in a “Pitch by the Pros.” Inventors were also given the chance to present their idea to cameras from the Discovery Channel’s hit show “Pitchmen” with Anthony Sullivan, to compete for a $2,000 cash prize as well as the title of “Inventor of the Year.”

On the last day of the InventHelp New Product Showcase, a panel of direct marketers – including Anthony Sullivan – presented awards for the best inventions after reviewing new products. Chris Schutte, who was an exhibitor at InventHelp’s 2010 INPEX Invention Show, took home the ERA’s “Inventor of the Year” award for his invention, “The Steamie.” Mostafa Sorkhabi’s “Sippin’ Snacker” won the $2,000 “Pitchmen” prize from Anthony Sullivan.

I met a lot of amazing people and saw some really interesting products while in Las Vegas – it was really a wonderful show.

Congratulations to Chris, Mostafa and all of our inventors!
