InventHelp’s Invention Girl knows that a lot people are paranoid about having bad breath. It’s not out of the ordinary because unfresh breath can be a deal breaker when you’re on a date, interview or making a first impression. Nobody wants something awkward like that to ruin an important moment.

I understand bad breath can be embarrassing but I don’t think I need a device to tell me if I have it or not. The usual breathing into the palm has been working for me for quite some time now and I think I’ll stick with that. But in case you’re a little paranoid, there’s a Japanese gadget called the Digital Bad Breath Checker for Women that alerts you if your breath isn’t so fresh. It’s a palm sized, pink gadget that uses an animated female character to inform you of your breath’s status. All you need to do is breath in and out once near the gadget to use it. When the character has a big smile, your breath is good to go; when she has a neutral look on her face, she’s telling you your breath is slightly stinky; when she’s frowning, that’s when you know you have a problem. It’s also small enough for you to carry around in your purse

Instead of paying almost $50 for this gadget, InventHelp’s Invention Girl thinks she’ll stick to the old-fashioned method of popping in a mint when I’m feeling a little self conscious. So ladies, do you think this gadget is helpful or just plain stinks?
