Some analysts are predicting that the iPad 3 will be released sometime during the first quarter of next year. Although nobody knows exactly what features it will have, here are the top 5 most wanted features.
Retina Display
If the iPhone can have such a detailed display, why can’t the iPad? Although the iPhone 4’s display technology was rumored to be on the iPad 2 before it was released, it never materialized.
Brand New Design
Apple, most recently exemplified by the iPhone 4S, is willing to recycle old designs. Every now and then, it will come out with a radical new design. Although its hard to out design the current iPad 2, Apple will surely not disappoint with its next design update.
Quad-core processor
A Quad-core processor would make the iPad as powerful as desktop computers, allowing for a faster user experience and better graphics.
A Glare-Less Screen
The iPhone is small enough so that, most of the time, you can tilt the phone away from the sun. However, the iPad is large enough for the sun to be an inconvenience.
Updated Camera
The iPad shoots pictures at 0.92 MP. That’s ancient camera technology! People are buying the iPad as a fun replacement for a laptop or desktop computer. If Apple wants more people to see its iPad as a real computer replacement, it better start updating it with modern hardware, beginning with a better camera.
Siri
Although iPhone 4S’s virtual assistant is available only on the iPhone device, the iPad 2 is already powerful enough to run Siri. Including Siri on the iPad 3 should be an easy thing for Apple to do unless, of course, it wants Siri to remain an exclusive iPhone feature.
