Have you ever wanted to give your fellow drivers a piece of your mind? Maybe someone is tailgating you or you want someone to turn down their high beams. Gagandeep Singh has invented LED signage that goes onto the rear window of your car, and lets you display any text or symbols you want.

The LED display measures 40 by 16 inches and is attached to a Volkswagen in the aforementioned video. As of now, the animations are programmed into the display, but Singh plans to make a version in which you can automatically make messages, by typing them into a Bluetooth enabled phone. The current version uses an AT89C51 micro-controller and the hard coded animations are sent to a 2cm x 2cm grid.

According to the inventor, the LED display does not obstruct your vision because the display itself resembles a mesh and is of limited size compared to the rear window on the car.

Although Singh’s road rage billboard is not available for purchase (for now), he gives you his DIY directions in the following video.
