What can match the sexiness of the iPhone 4S and its corresponding iOS 5? Google hopes it has the answer when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich are released in November. Although the Nexus phone is impressive in and of itself (it has an enormous 4.65 in. HD display, a sleek design, no shutter lag in its camera, an NFC chip, and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor), the real hype is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which features, among other things…

Face Unlock

Are swiping gestures or number combinations too cumbersome? Face Unlock may be your answer because it allows you to unlock your phone by simply looking at it. If you don’t want to use this feature you can still opt for the drawing or code number unlock.

Android Beam

With Near Field Communication technology you can share a song, video, application, or webpage just by tapping another phone.

Panoramic Pictures

Move your camera from side to side and the software will make one panoramic image out of it. The new Android operating system also allows you to take pictures without shutter lag, meaning you can take pictures without any delay. The software also allows you to take pictures in time lapse mode, features better autofocus, and has image stabilization.

Voice Text

Google may not have Siri, but it has a very accurate talk to text feature, which can be used for your e-mails.

Flexible Widgets

Android 4.0 has widgets that can be re-sized and take up their own space in the software’s app drawer.

The pending release of Android 4.0 on the Nexus coincides with leaks from Steve’s Jobs’s biography, in which Jobs claims that Eric Schmidt, while a member of Apple’s board of directors, shamelessly stole Apple’s ideas and gave them to Google, when Schmidt quit working as an Apple board member in 2009.
