GraduationIt’s that time of year again. Students across the country are celebrating in the streets at the thought of finishing high school. So what do you get that special  grad to congratulate them on their big achievement? You want to make sure you don’t get them a lame gift that they’ll just throw in a closet and never see again. Getting a useful gift that will help them along on their college journey will surely be appreciated by the grad. Well, InventHelp’s Invention Girl has found a few cool gadgets that will be used and sure to impress.

  • The Sony Dash Personal Internet Viewer – Allows the recent grad to easily check the weather, morning traffic and e-mail before heading to class. It stores over 7,000 apps and features a 7” touch screen so it fits conveniently on a nightstand or end table. It also plays music from internet radio stations, like Pandora, to give some background noise to that all-night study session. The Viewer uses over 1,000 free apps and your Wi-Fi® connection to inform and entertain in the dorm. It also has an alarm clock so there’s no excuse to be late to class!
  • Lifescribe Pen – Ensure the grad never misses a beat in their college lecture with the Lifescribe Pen. This pen has a 4GB memory that records audio as you write then links it to your written words. To replay the last few words spoken while you were writing, simply tap the pen tip against your paper. When finished writing, conveniently upload your notes to your computer for easy storage and organization. The pen even lets you search for specific words within your electronic notes, allowing you to find the information you need quickly without the hassle of going through pages of notes.
  • Digital Photo Frame – Save those loose printed photos from a Ramen-spill death with a digital photo frame. Digital frames can hold 1000s of images and impressively display them as a slideshow. Some can also support music and video, along with photos, for a complete multimedia experience. Since dorm rooms are a tight space to begin with, most frames have a mountable option so they can be hung on the wall.
  • Amazon Kindle – Weighing just 10.2 ounces, the Amazon Kindle is much lighter than carrying around a backpack full of heavy textbooks. Being barely a third of an inch thick (comparable to a magazine), the Kindle fits perfectly in the viewer’s hands. It can hold 1,500 books which is more than enough space for a typical college career. With the always free 3G global network, books can be wirelessly downloaded to the device in 60 seconds. The new grad doesn’t need to worry about the battery dying in mid-class because the battery can last up to a week on a single charge.

Invention Girl advices that before you decide on a gift, carefully consider the graduate’s future plans. The best gifts may be based on where he or she is headed.

  1. Cool gadgets to buy |

My choice if I were to be a graduating student would be the Amazon Kindle. I found out that Kindle could be a big help to college students nowadays, since many would dig into ebooks and, Kindle could do even more than jus functioning as such. :D
